                Both\nthe Editor of this newspaper and myself attend Granby City Council Meetings. We\ncome up with different impressions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                Mayor Travis\nGamble forced the resignations of both the City Fire Chief and recently the\nCity Collector. The modius operandi is to put them both under \u201ccity ordinance\u201d\nas independent officials and then when they don\u2019t meet the new demands to make\nthem resign. Their other hobby is to change the municipal ordinances to meet\ntheir agenda to enrich favored insiders, but this hobby has been engaged in\nsince forever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                So once\nthe City Collector didn\u2019t have to only collect taxes but to launder the\nproceeds as well, she resigned. So not having an elected money launderess and\nhaving Newton County collect the taxes for $4000 means saving $25,800 salary?\nNo, not necessarily because you still must pay the new unelected money\nlaunderesses doing the will of the Mayor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                So now\nwe are going to have an election in November to [s]elect whether to [s]elect a\nnew City Collector which the Mayor can also force to resign. Isn\u2019t\nDem[on]ocracy wonderful?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                Another\ntrick is to commission \u201cstudies\u201d which prove the desired result. The recent gas\nsurvey \u201cproved\u201d that gas rates would have to increase. Given that Travis Gamble\ninsists that money swapped around in various accounts now not only had to be\npaid from his term as mayor but from the past 30 years under different Granby\nmayors as well, we all knew that the payback would cum from two sources: a)\nUranus b) your pocket. The gas survey said \u201cyour pocket.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                Travis\nGamble says that it is your \u201cmoral duty\u201d to pay not only for his decisions, but\nfor previous administrations. Not your legal duty as only the state has\nstanding to prosecute. Why, you need to be punished for electing these idiots. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
